Robert Joseph White

Jul 21, 1981 — Sep 5, 2026

Robert Joseph White, 45, of Buckner, Missouri, passed away at home on September 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Rob was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Gary White and Linda Blake. On September 22, 2001, he married the love of his life, Courtney White, and together they shared nearly 25 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, family, and countless memories.

Rob was employed with Evergy for just over 24 years, where he worked as a district field supervisor. He took pride in his work and built many lasting friendships throughout his career.

Rob enjoyed watching Chiefs football, fishing, hunting, eating crab legs with his son and friends, sharing sushi with his daughter, drinking chocolate milk and watching movies with his grandson Wesley, and playing Yahtzee with his wife.

Rob was truly the life of the party. He had a special way of showing his love, and if he loved you, he was sure to give you a hard time. His teasing, jokes, and playful picking were his way of letting you know you were loved. Those moments are now among the memories his family and friends will cherish most.

Above all else, Rob was a devoted family man. His family was his greatest pride, his greatest joy, and his everything.

Rob is survived by his spouse, Courtney White; his son, Camren White and spouse Lindsey White; his daughter, Taylor White; his beloved dog, Grif; his grandson, Wesley Searcy; his father, Gary White, and stepmother, Wanda White; his grandfather, Marion Weatherford; his grandmother, Gail Brown; his sister, Brandi Lynn; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Blake; his grandmother, Shirley Weatherford; and his grandfather, James White.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Rob will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the FOP Lodge, 18300 RT-78, Independence, Missouri 64057. Rob requested a casual gathering, with family and friends telling stories and sharing memories.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to their amazing friends and family who were by their side until the very end, and to Novus LifeCare Home Health and Hospice for the compassionate nurses and team who cared for Rob along the way.
