Michael Handy

Michael James Handy passed away on October 1, 2026 at the age of 69. He was born in Kansas City, MO on December 30, 1956 to Albert William Handy and Charlotte Handy. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Rose Messick, and his partner, Brett Karraker.

Mike enjoyed spending his time with Brett Karraker. He took pride in his work, enjoyed eating brownies, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Kit Kats! Mike had a generous and kind heart and will be missed and forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Mike is survived by his siblings: Jurhee Daiprai, William Handy and John Handy; and his nieces and nephews: Elizabeth Allen Ballieu, Debbie Clay, Kimberly Scearce Schenck, Jeffrey William Handy, Timothy Lee Handy and Richard Messick, Jr.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Three Rivers Hospice and Hilltop Nursing Home for the compassionate team who cared for Mike along the way!
