It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Charles Moore, who departed this life on Monday, March 30th, at the age of 68. Kevin was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, whose kindness and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Vicki); his mother, Madalyn; his father, Charles; and his sister, Cheryl.
He is survived by his brother, Craig; his daughter, Mandi; his son, Joshua; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jordan, Laci, Laura, and Zachary; and his three great-grandsons, Sage, Aiden, and Nikolai.
Kevin was born in Joliet, Illinois in 1957 to Charles and Madalyn. The family moved to Blue Springs, MO in Kevin’s teen years. Where in high school Kevin served as an ambulance driver. After high school Kevin entered the armed forces under the Army branch. After meeting the love of his life, Vicki. He, Vicki, and Mandi were based in Hawaii for a period of time before returning to Kansas City. After returning home Kevin ended up settling into managing hotel chains. Mainly for the Days Inn and Baymont properties.
After a decade in the hotel industry Kevin transitioned into being a livery driver. For over 20 years, Kevin amassed a solid base of clientele. Transporting folks mainly to and from KCI airport. Many of which became friends.
Kevin had a passion for golf and cherished the time he spent sharing meals with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
