Helen Luanne Capelton

With deep love and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Helen Luanne Capelton on June 12, 2026. A beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, her absence leaves an undeniable void in our hearts. We find comfort in knowing she is now resting peacefully in God's eternal embrace and that her memory will live on forever in those she loved.

Helen was born on March 15, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Carl Drowns and Mary Jo Shockley. She proudly spent the majority of her life in the Kansas City area, building a home and a family.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Roland Capelton; her three daughters, Crish Jacobson, Trish Ferguson, and Angela Curbelo; her brother, Rocky Garrison; and a close nephew, Christopher Michael Wallace. She also leaves behind a legacy of multiple grandchildren, nieces, nephews and two great-grandchildren.

Helen was welcomed into Heaven by those who preceded her in death: her parents, Carl Drowns and Mary Jo Shockley; her aunt Maggie and Uncle Gus; her two brothers, Mike Drowns and Jay Wallace; and her two children, Jamison Bardsley and Kelli Bearce Hines.

A Memorial Service will be held on June 27, 2026 at 10:00 am at 3711 N. Jackson St, Kansas City, MO 64117.
