Gary Lee Frazee of Kearney, Missouri, passed away on October 13, 2026 at the age of 76, with his children by his side.
Born on August 6, 1950 in Wichita, Kansas to Clarence and Dorothy (Amsbaugh) Frazee, Gary lived a life marked by devotion to family, a warm sense of humor, and a spirit that brought joy to those around him. He was light-hearted and funny, and he was known to enjoy an occasional prank, a reflection of the playful nature that so many loved. Above all, he was devoted to his family and loved them deeply.
Gary attended Wichita Southeast High School from 1964 to 1968. He went on to build a successful career as a regional salesman for RBH Industrial, where his dedication and talent earned him top salesman recognition for the Midwest region for many years. His strong work ethic and commitment to doing his best were evident throughout his professional life.
Faith and community were meaningful parts of Gary’s life. He attended First Nazarene Church, where he played saxophone in the church orchestra, sharing his musical gifts in worship and fellowship. He also found happiness in the simple and lasting pleasures of life: spending time with his kids and grandkids, going to sporting events with friends and family, playing golf, and participating in bowling tournaments. These were the moments that reflected who he was most clearly—someone who cherished togetherness, laughter, and the bonds created through shared experiences.
Gary is survived by his daughter, April (Allen) Rubenking, and his son, Eric (Lauren) Frazee, who were a constant source of pride and love in his life. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, John Kasenberg; his niece, Becky Kasenberg; his nephew, Joel (Oz) Kasenberg and his 7 beloved grandchildren. He leaves behind family and friends who will remember his humor, his loyalty, and the love he gave so freely.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Dorothy Frazee; and his sister, Elizabeth (Frazee) Kasenberg. Their memories remained an enduring part of his life and story.
Gary will be remembered with affection for his laughter, his kindness, his playful spirit, and the deep love he had for those closest to him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Gary's name to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care.
