Bobby Joe Alexander, lovingly known as "Joker," passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on February 28, 1935, in Warsaw, Missouri, Joker was a man who exemplified the qualities of a loving and caring individual, touching the lives of many throughout his remarkable journey.
For 30 years, Joker dedicated his career to the General Motors - Leed Plant as a maintenance worker, where he was respected by his peers for his hard work and steadfast commitment. Joker also served his country in the Air Force from 1955 to 1959, an experience he cherished deeply and spoke of with immense pride.
Throughout his life, Joker had a passion for storytelling and shared countless memories, particularly those of his younger years, with family and friends. His warmth and friendly demeanor ensured that he never met a stranger; he had a unique ability to strike up conversations with anyone he encountered. His family fondly remembers how, during shopping outings, he would often tire of the experience and make his way to the front of the store to sit down, always ready for a chat.
Joker's heart was undoubtedly devoted to his family. He married the love of his life, Jewel Smith, on December 10, 1960, in Branson, Missouri. Together, they built a life filled with adventures, including traveling, square dancing, and hunting. His legacy continues through his immediate family: his beloved wife, Jewel; sons Frankie (Kelly) Alexander, Bobby Alexander Jr., and David (Marci) Alexander; and grandchildren Aaron (Monica) Alexander, Amber Alexander, Brittani (Daniel) Westrich, Bobby Alexander III, Chelsi (Robert Johnson) Alexander, and Jesus Alexander. Joker was also a proud great-grandfather to Keira Alexander, Zooey Alexander, Scarlett Alexander, Colton Westrich, Nolan Westrich, Kaden Westrich, Aydyn Westrich, and LaTeya Allen.
Joker is preceded in death by his parents, Edmond and Lula Alexander; siblings Leo, Tommy, Mary and Eddie Lu; and great-grandson Axel Alexander. He is remembered not only for his hearty laughter and stories but also for the love he shared with those around him.
As we reflect on the life of Bobby "Joker" Alexander, we celebrate a man whose spirit and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
