Betty Joyce Doerman

Betty Joyce Doerman, 69, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on February 20, 2026.

Joyce was born on June 11, 1956, in Van Nuys, California, to Len and Betty Van Gaalen, Sr. She grew up surrounded by family. In April of 1976, she married Dwayne Doerman, Sr. in Turlock, California. Joyce was known for her warm smile, gentle spirit, and kind heart. She had a quiet strength and a love for those around her that will never be forgotten. She is survived by her son, Dwayne (ShaMayne) Doerman of Grain Valley, Missouri; Katelyn Hunter of Oak Grove, Missouri; her siblings, Wayne (Jayne) Van Gaalen of Crossville, Tennessee, and Rachel Corley of Turlock, California; her grandchildren, Samantha, Bryce, Mackenzie, Adalynn, and Emmett; and many beloved nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Len and Betty Van Gaalen, Sr.; her beloved husband, Dwayne Doerman, Sr.; brother, Len Van Gaalen Jr.; and niece Lisa Van Gaalen.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hope Church or Turlock 316 S. Laurel St., Turlock, CA 95380. Monday, March 16, 2026 from 1-3pm
